The auspicious Kartik month is soon approaching, a favorite month of Lord Krishna. During this month devotional service is enhanced a thousand-fold and brings the devotee immense spiritual benefits.

‘Kartik 2014 - CHAD challenge’ aims to inspire every intelligent human being to read one chapter of Bhagavad Gita every day during the all-auspicious Kartik month from 08 Oct 2014 to 06 Nov 2014. CHAD founder H.G Vaisesika Prabhu recommends Bhagavad-Gita Chapter 15.

5-Minute Ex*****on Formula

1. Print 15th chapter (or any chapter of your choice) in CHAD format and carry it with you wherever you go or load it into your device.

2. Chant all the Sanskrit slokas; or all the English translations. This does not take any more than 5 - 7 minutes! Waiting in a long queue or in a red light? Read your chapter. Still can’t find time? Load the audio format of the chapter in your phone and sing along. Contact [email protected] for further assistance.

3. Once you take up CHAD Gita challenge (https://www.facebook.com/kartik2014chad) , you can spread the bliss around by nominating your friends/family/acquaintances by tagging them on your page. Real Protection
Let us make a sincere effort to read Bhagavad-Gita every day. This is our only real protection. As Vaisesika Prabhu writes "The devotee who hears Krsna’s words with a submissive heart immediately feels an ingress of causeless knowledge and detachment. Krsna is attentively watching us at every second and is ready to guide and shelter us. Therefore, today, and everyday, may we recite the divine slokas in Bhagavad-gita not by rote. Rather, with the urgency of a man or woman trapped in a burning house, let sing them aloud, calling for Krsna’s protection."

2014 is just around the corner and it’s now time for us to get thinking about all that we want to achieve next year.We mainly owe ourselves a main responsibility to continue and constantly improve daily through learning. At the present time most of us are so absorbed with day-to-day activities that we do not have the time to read all the literatures. Srila Prabhupad has the solution, "Because Bhagavad Gita is spoken by the Supreme Personality of Godhead, one need not read any other Vedic literature. One need only attentively and regularly hear and read Bhagavad Gita." (Bhagavad Gita Introduction)

Simply my making a potent goal of reading one chapter & one purport of Bhagavad-Gita every day without fail, we become enriched with devotion. Srila Prabhupada confirms the potency of reading his books daily, "In my books the philosophy of Krishna Consciousness is explained fully so if there is anything you do not understand, then you simply have to read again and again. By reading daily the knowledge will be revealed to you and by this process your spiritual life will develop."(Letter to Brahmarupa Dasa, November 22, 1974)
