Victoria Cockatoo, at her appointment yesterday with Dr. G Feathers and Fur Animal Hospital, looks so precious. It's hard to believe she is so sick. Dr. G did another Fluoroscopy procedure and other test on VC to see if the tiny pieces of metal left her body. Sadly the medal is still inside but has started to move further down the body, which gives us hope. At this time, we do not know how advanced VC’s kidney disease is. Dr. G is giving VC 3 days off of IV fluids and chelation therapy to see if her Kidneys can function without help. There is also a possibility VC has an infection in her kidneys. The only way to know is a biopsy which we are not going to do. Once we receive another test from miDOGtest, Dr. G will decide whether she will put VC on antibiotics. There are so many layers Dr. G is trying to work through with VC’s health it’s impossible to cover them all. Dr. G and her staff have been beyond amazing and are doing everything possible to help VC.
