"The Microsoft Bay Area Runners Club started with Luc responding to a message I left on Strava, asking if anyone at the SVC campus would be interested in going for a run. When we settled on a date, I posted an invitation over Teams, and Craig joined us for the first run. Hyan joined us for the next run. And the rest is history. The theme for this year's Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month is “Dimensions.”
During this Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month, we ask the question: what does it mean to be an Asian or Pacific Islander?
Being an Asian or Pacific Islander means honoring the past through custom, tradition, and reverence for ancestors. It means investing in the future through education, community, and innovation.
It is the roaring energy of pride and the quiet power of humility. It is believing in the rewards of dedicated work and trusting in the prospect of good luck. It means dignity. It means hope.
