Emma joins us from Kearsley High School in Flint, MI! She will minor in Music, supplementing her degree in Elementary Education, allowing her to bring great music to her future classrooms.

We are so excited to welcome a new graduate student to our studio this fall, Michelle Lagos!!

Michelle joins us from Mexico City, where she has worked as a freelance percussionist and teacher since completing her undergraduate degree at the Escuela Superior de Música. She has received a graduate fellowship from Central Michigan University School of Music!

Michelle is an Artist for Percussion, , and .

We all look forward to working with Michelle and learning from her experiences!!

What an AMAZING experience to have an international performance at The Space Between V in Hamilton, Ontario!!! James May’s “anthrophony” was received wonderfully by the audience, closing out the day’s evening concert of avant garde music.

Dr. Marco Schirripa also opened the entire conference with his presentation on the project. Such an exciting day for Central Michigan University School of Music Percussion!

Congratulations to Alec Love on completing his BM in !!

Alec participated in throughout his years at Central Michigan University School of Music, including his LEGENDARY solo in Rick Dior’s “Science Fiction” last Fall. He was heavily involved with our A/V program while putting his skills to work through many professional projects outside Central Michigan University, having already scored several film and soundtracks!!

Best of luck in the future Alec! We look forward to hearing your for years to come!!
