Double header weekend at Grundy County Speedway. Weather is looking awesome for the weekend. Tonight is a great night to bring the kiddos. On track autograph party filled with a night of double features in each division. Tomorrow brings the rescheduled Six Pack Shootout event that was rained out last week.

I'm calling it the "Recycle Trophy Program". I've decided these trophies would be better off in some kids possession for winning a big wheel race or juice box derby. These trophies will be repurposed for the Cheryl Hryn Racing 4 Kids. Cheryl does so much for the racing community at Grundy County Speedway to get kids involved into racing. It was a no brainer what to do with these weekly feature win trophies. I will be keeping at least one of my weekly trophies and that was my opening day 2023 one. Dedicated to mom after she had passed that week. Thank you Cheryl for everything you do!!! 🏆

Kinda in awe on this. Not sure if the driver list is getting dried up or what, but I can think of more accomplished drivers that could be in my place. Thanks to the Hall Of Fame committee for this. When I was first approached about this and I was told I'm in the Mazon/ Grundy Hall of Fame, my first words were "Why?" Answer was "For what you do." Still trying to figure what I do. Haha. Again, thank you everyone.

Doubleheader weekend at the Grundy County Speedway...go support local short track racing. I'll see everyone in a few weeks as i mentioned in a previous post we are taking some time of in June. Peace out from Cabo Mexico!!!

P2 in today's Spring Fling 200 Enduro at Grundy County Speedway. Today definitely tested tire management. Pitted at the halfway break and tossed on a new front right. Car was a rocket on the 2nd half chicane course but around 30 laps to go i had to whoa her down a bit as I felt the front right coming apart. Congrats to Alex Treptow on another win. Next enduro is July 12th for The Stars & Strips 250. Back to our regular weekly racing next Friday.
