This page is hosted by grassroots community groups and the Residents for a Livable Moreno Valley all of which are made up of Moreno Valley residents who are concerned about the every changing land uses in eastern Moreno Valley, which has permitted developments such as Skechers, Prologis and now the push for the World Logistics Center (WLC) projects. We are comprised of concern residences some of w
hich have backgrounds in business, goods movement, community planning, transportation planning, geology, biology and believe this development is not a good one for our City. This project will not only affect the east end but the whole city. The proposed WLC does not follow the City’s General Plan, a plan that took almost eight years to complete and runs counter to what has been proposed on this end of town for decades . We strongly believe that this project will have major impacts on our community: inadequate roads, increased truck traffic on our local streets and highway 60, damage to the aging highway 60 overpasses, excessive truck exhaust and pollution, increased noise and light pollution, mass expansion one industry in our city creating more low paying warehouse jobs opportunities without other opportunities, and contaminated run-off that will affect our water quality and ultimately the San Jacinto Wildlife Area. It is important that you make your concerns known to the city of Moreno Valley. If possible, attend the public hearing and make your concerns know to the City Council. Council meeting are held the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month at 6:00 pm at the City Council Chambers, located at 14177 Frederick Street. Anyone can speak and speakers are typically heard at the beginning of the meeting.
