First race at Keeneland today. Hopefully my betting improves. lol

It’s Keeneland time!!! Losing lots of money at the races today. Have a table in Equestrian Room and ability to walk out on to patio to watch the races.

It is that time of year again….Keeneland tickets have gone on sale for the spring meet. Traveling for us will slow down a bit as we enjoy what Kentucky has to offer. If you need help planning a trip to visit my home state……let me know!

Celebrity Apex Dec 12-19, 2026

Had to switch our booking from the original date due to a work conflict…..did the same booking (guaranteed suite) and had our room assigned in 6 hours! Magic Carpet Suite 7204….exact room we had on Ascent (number a little different but exact location). So excited….we loved that room!

People have asked about guaranteed suites vs picking your room. This is our third sailing and third guaranteed suite on Celebrity. Twice we have waited til move up bids came out and the guaranteed was less (or very close to) what the bid was. There are fewer suites so it’s less of a gamble on where you will end up….and I checked to see what suites were available in least expensive category….we have always been assigned to one of those. That being said, we have been happy with our cabins. Guaranteed has saved us a substantial amount of money while allowing us all the perks of the Retreat.

For future reference, we will not fly into Miami International by choice. Fort Lauderdale is farther distance wise from Port Miami but I swear it took longer to go through security at MIA than the drive to FLL. Then had to hike to gate 60…..which is subdivided into about 8 ‘subgates’. Then sent back upstairs to a different gate, where we were delayed, and they couldn’t estimate when crew would be there. Got the notification we were delayed after we finally landed back in Cincy. Long day.

Finally some good weather! Somehow I got sun while in the shade all day. Visited The Cabana Beach in Cozumel. Planned on snorkeling but the water was a little cool….we got massages instead.

Well Roatan did not go as expected….we went from a light sprinkle to all day showers and wind. That being said, Leon from Roatan Breakaway Tours did an excellent job as our guide and Brady’s Cay would have been perfect if the weather had cooperated at all (strongly suggest their beef nachos and banana daiquiri). We liked the Coxen Hole port….very easy walk from ship to exit.

Currently on World America. Weather is a little rough….but it still beats the arctic blast at home.

Enjoyed our day in Mahogany Bay. We will be back to Honduras with MSC in Feb.
