This Juneteenth week, ASU ASPIRE took a powerful field trip to Selma to dive deeper into the Civil Rights Movement and honor the legacy of those who paved the way.

We partnered with Rev. John Grayson and The Historic Gospel Tabernacle Church to donate clothing and water to support the local homeless shelter.

Our students were also in awe meeting The Rev. B.L. Tucker — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s bodyguard — and hearing his stories firsthand.
