Have you been holding out on prayer because you don’t want to be let down if God doesn’t answer it?⁠ ⁠ Been there.⁠ ⁠ But here’s what I realized…⁠ ⁠ By being vague with God about the desires on my heart, I was keeping Him at a distance.⁠ ⁠ He already knew what I deeply longed for, but I thought if I could be strategic with how I asked for it, I could manipulate Him into delivering the result.⁠ ⁠ Learn from me, friend.⁠ ⁠ If you want specific results, you need to pray specific prayers.⁠ ⁠ Just look at Luke chapter 18. A blind beggar cried out to Jesus, and Jesus asked him this: “What do you want me to do for you?”⁠ ⁠ The beggar didn’t say, “Oh, whatever you think will help.” He had a specific request. He said, “Lord, let me recover my sight.”⁠ ⁠ And guess what… Jesus answered.⁠ ⁠ We can’t trick God. We can’t use reverse psychology. He doesn’t want a watered down version of us - He wants our true, honest selves.⁠ ⁠ Be bold in your prayer. Tell Him what’s on your heart. Have faith that He will answer you. And ask Him to help you desire His will above all.
