Self-care is something I think about a-lot. When I used to run groups, I always asked clients what are you doing for self-care today. And most often I would find the answers like a check off on a box without real deep investment into the process.
This author puts it best:
“If you think of self-care as a goal, it becomes another task to check off the list,” Dr. Lakshmin said. “But when you think about it as values and decisions that inform all of your different roles and activities, it can deeply impact the quality of your life.”
