The week we launched our Character Creator, one of my closest friends tried it first.
I looked at what he made and said,â¨âWait⌠you wear glasses??â
We had been friends for over 10 years⌠and I had never really seen that detail.
It stuck with me.
Because itâs a reminder:
We donât always see ourselves the way others do.â¨And kids feel that too.
âď¸ The way a child sees themselvesâŚâ¨âď¸ The way adults describe themâŚâ¨âď¸ The way theyâre represented in tools meant to support themâŚ
Those donât always match.
And that gap matters.
When children can actually recognize themselves in visuals, in routines, in the tools we use to support them, something shifts.
