The Adams County Communications Center is proud to announce that we will be the FIRST in the State of Ohio to implement NGA’s Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG911) call handling system, officially going live on May 4th ahead of the state deadline.

This new system will enhance how we serve you by:
• Providing more accurate location information
• Improving call processing speed and reliability
• Allowing for future Text-to-911 capabilities
• Strengthening communication with first responders

NGA is the company behind the technology our telecommunicators will rely on every day to help get assistance to you quickly and efficiently when it matters most.

The transition from legacy 911 systems to Next Generation 911 (NG911) is bringing a flood of new data into Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs). Text messages, photos, videos, sensor data from connected devices; the volume and variety of information flowing into 911 centers is growing rapidly.
