Opus 2 was founded by Eugene Reichenfeld more than 50 years ago as the Wilkinsburg Junior Symphony and Reichenfeld Sinfonietta. The group was renamed Opus 2 in 2005 when David Beswarick, a retired East Allegheny orchestra director and former student of Dr. Reichenfeld's, took up the conducting baton.
