Image is everything. When a customer or client receives a promotional product from a business, they are more likely to think highly of that company than they do of those businesses that did not provide a perk.

Some studies indicate recipients are more likely to perceive promotional products that they estimated as worth $25 or more as meaningful rewards or incentives. On the other hand, items perceived to be less than $5 were most likely to be classified as pure advertising.

Screen printing is used to create images on T-shirts, mugs and other promotional items. To accomplish this, a stencil or template is applied to a thin screen to block areas, then ink is pushed through the unblocked screen to transfer a design to the item.

A study analyzing reactions to promotional products found that items in the $10 to $25 range can shape recipients’ perceptions of an organization. Roughly 54% stated they were significantly or somewhat more receptive to the organization, while 45% claimed it had little to no effect.
