UPDATE: Little Turbo has been reunited with his family. We love a happy ending! 🙌

Be still our beating hearts, what a cutie!! This little one was running around in the Fred Meyer Monroe parking lot today, playing hide-and-seek. A caring community member got the pup to safety, now it's up to our community to get the pup home! If you have any information, please call 425-407-3999 and ask to speak to Monroe Animal Control.

Tomorrow is National SAFE Day. It is an annual gun safety campaign held on June 4 in remembrance of Brooklynn Mohler who died from an accidental shooting from an unsecured gun in the home of a friend. Monroe Police Department joins the many law enforcement and child safety non-profit agencies in supporting National SAFE Day, to remind gun owners to Secure All Fi****ms Effectively (SAFE).

We can quote you some staggering statistics about unintentional fi****ms injuries and deaths, especially among children and adolescences. But we’d rather you stop by, chat with us about gun safety, and take home a free trigger lock. MPD staff will be outside the Police Station tomorrow from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. with gun safety information and free trigger locks (while supplies last). No paperwork nor payment is required to receive one.

Please visit https://projectchildsafe.org/ or https://besmartforkids.org/ for many resources on gun safety.
