I’ve never officially introduced myself, so here it goes via a 2006 MySpace About Me:

My name is Hailee, my business is celebrating 6 years this May. With over 7 years of esthetics experience I can whole heartedly say I am passionate about my “job”. My heart expanded this last Valentine’s Day when I welcomed my baby boy Zadeyn, and with that addition I’ve taken a step back to offer a minimal menu to fit my Saturday-Monday schedule. As women we’re told we need to do it all: wife, mother, career woman. My job is more than work, and by being able to do something I love comes a grounded balance with business and home life.

My hobbies and interests outside the beauty industry include anything creative, history and reading. I love a good historical fiction or fantasy escape (hello, ACOTAR darlings). Before my pregnancy I also found a novice for nutrition and working out. I’m still faking it until I make it in that department, but it’s an outlet I’ve enjoyed working my way back into. I also previously enjoyed making and creating a candle line exclusively sold in my shop, but that has had to take a backseat until my breastfeeding journey ends. I’m a dog mom of a 5 year old golden doodle, and a wife of one year this past July, though our relationship spans my entire esthetics venture.

I believe in constantly learning and growing, enjoying different opinions and life lessons. I think of my studio as a safe, judgement free space. This career has made me a girls girl, and I deeply understand that my reward comes from making other people feel beautiful and I thrive in that ability. One of my favorite things about this path are the genuine connections I’ve been able to forge through the years, and I’m looking forward to the ability to create more connections my as my own life’s journey expands. 🤍🌙🔮

Maternity leave has been a gift of bonding with my sweet baby boy who arrived this last Valentines Day 🤍 Now that we have had our time to figure out our rhythm and flow, it’s time to turn my focus back to my first baby, my business, who will be celebrating 6 years! During this time of finding the balance of work and life I have decided to limit my menu to match my availability. I will be starting with weekends + Mondays for the time being, and will work to potentially integrate evenings in the future. I will be booking small chunks of my day until I find what works best for my family and for my clients. Thank you to those of you who are able to be flexible with me during this time 🤍🥂

As 2023 comes to an end, I am filled with complete gratitude toward the relationships that I’ve built with my clientele. I have a very special and personal job where I’ve been able to create friendships instead of clients. Thank you to those who joined me on this wild ride over the last year. There was a lot of anxiousness, a learned patience, some tears, and most of all huge life changes. Thank you for listening to me as I’ve listened to you, and just know I look forward to the countless conversations and appointments to be had in 2024 as this life journey progresses!

Now let’s talk maternity leave:

My goal is to start maternity leave on 2/1/24, and for lash clients I’ve probably discussed my plan going into my time off. For other lash artists and independent contractors I highly recommend looking into the Opt-In program that our state offers BEFORE you need it. Unfortunately because of my delinquency, my maternity leave will be cut short and be unpaid. I’ll be able to benefit from it later on, but not when I need it. Right now it’s my understanding I do need to bring in a minimum amount of sales this month to do so.
