Mental health and healing are not linear!

Have you ever been told that? It’s almost like a spiral, where you have progress and growth and then you swing back around for a moment, in what feels like a set back only to propel forward again. The cycle repeats over and over.

I have a hard time with the word “healing” sometimes because of that. We are never “healed” of mental illness; whether it’s depression, anxiety, panic disorder, PTSD....the list goes on. We make strides to be functional, but healing is a stretch.

Mental health is something that millions of people struggle with on a daily basis from he highest of highs to the lowest of lows. This month is mental health awareness month and I want to share some of what I have used to help me get back to the “highs” throughout this month.

It’s a journey that we don’t all want to be on, but we can do things to make the trip a little more bearable.

What is your reason for getting out of bed? Mine is a beautiful, smart, funny, and quirky six year old. Though I may not have seen it at the time she was a blessing, a gift, and a promise. If you had asked me at 16 where I would be after college, my answer most definitely would not have been my reality. I was a 23 year old single mom, moving back into her parent's house to start an unpaid internship...talk about glamorous.

When that little girl was roughly 18 months old I finally said, "enough, is enough!" I was so depressed, so anxious, and so resentful. I forced smiles and laughs, and I felt so angry all the time. After Stacey showed me DoTerra, and what it was all about I was sold and I wanted to tell everyone!

I started the business portion of DoTERRA officially over the summer of 2015 with no clue what the heck I was doing. It wasn't until I took part in a "business bootcamp" that I finally realized why I was really doing all of this. It wasn't for M Y mental health, and it wasn't about MY personal growth; it was about Noelle. I was a single mother who was able to pay my bills simply because of the fact that my family was loving enough to help me, and I wanted to show my little girl that no matter your circumstances you can move mountains. I started this business to show her that A N Y T H I N G is possible.

P O S S I B I L I T I E S
When I started this business (cough cough) years ago, I saw the possibility associated with it. I saw people that were living a dream life because of this business, and I knew that it was something that I wanted. When people come to me and ask me about starting a business with doTERRA I love getting to tell them about the possibilities and see their eyes light up. What is even more incredible is being able to tell them that their possibilities are endless depending on what T H E Y want to make of it.


This business is what you make of it. Want to casually talk about it to your friends and support them? Great! Want to create residual income and create a community of like minded individuals? Wonderful! Want to do some social media posts here and there? That's ok!


For me this business is a means of residual income, early retirement, travel, adventure, freedom, joy, strength, and hard work. For me its not work, but it is a job simply because it is real. Most importantly though, every day that I "work" I remind myself that "ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE"!
