Today, members of the Monroe Fire Department were honored to participate in the Memorial Day Service at Lakeland Memorial Park.

Chief Fowler, Battalion 1, Ladder 1, and Rescue 5 proudly represented MFD during the ceremony, including the display of the American flag with our apparatus as we joined the community in remembering and honoring the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a time to pause, reflect, and remember the sacrifices made by those who never made it home. Their courage and dedication to protecting our freedoms will never be forgotten.

We would like to thank Lakeland Memorial Park for hosting this meaningful event and for inviting the Monroe Fire Department to be a part of today’s remembrance ceremony.
