The rot around this lower door was fully expected. It would have been a bigger surprise to NOT see it there. When house wraps are installed, most builders treat them as an inconvenient thing and therefore they don’t install them properly. The lack of flashings and proper tapes will cost thousands of dollars or 10’s of thousands. It’s a few extra hours and a couple hundred dollars, for an entire house, to get this detail right and prevent rot and interior damage when the house wrap is originally installed. It’s important to get the details right, even the ones you don’t see.

That small hole at the base of the upper French door is all that it takes to cause all this damage.

Premium products, premium installation practices, premium ex*****on. We spray all our trim, cove, and baseboard in 2k coatings for that cabinet grade finish and durability. Walls aren’t passed over either. PVA primer, sand, high build primer, sand, 2 coats of premium paint to top it off for a dead flat and smooth wall surface. All that comes at a price, but never requires a call back. It’s not for everybody, just those that want a better finished product.

Insurance claims can be tricky to navigate. We can assist you with the process and make sure things get repaired properly and to you expectations. This floor was originally damaged by a failed water line for an RO system. We were able to complete all the work in 2 days; repairing the RO line, rebuilding the cabinet interior, replacing the old flooring and baseboards, and new cabinet toe kicks. We also used a dehumidifier and fans to dry the space out before using disinfects on the subfloor.

Notice how there are no shoe mouldings, that takes extra time to omit those but leaves a cleaner look and allows cabinets and furniture to go closer to the wall. Shoe mouldings are for rookies 😜o loor
