This post is a couple weeks past due now, but I have not been able to find the right words still. In 2018 I took a huge risk and opened up my own practice and somehow convinced this amazing nurse to take the leap with me. So much has changed over the last 10 years since we started working together 3 offices ago at CHC. The one thing I never thought would change was the nurse by my side. Unfortunately, the last several weeks have been a very difficult transition for me as nurse Raechel decided to leave pediatrics and pursue another position. I miss her deeply each day, and I am forever grateful for the amazing contributions she has made helping me grow Hartman Pediatrics!! Please be patient with me and the office as I work to train several new staff over the coming months. I promise we will continue to strive to provide the best care to your children. 💜

🎆 Fireworks Safety Tips for a Happy & Healthy Fourth of July! 🇺🇸

Fireworks are a favorite holiday tradition, but they can cause serious injuries—especially to children.

❤️ Keep your family safe this Independence Day:
• Never allow children to handle or light fireworks, including sparklers. Sparklers can burn at over 1,000°F and cause severe burns.
• Attend a community fireworks display instead of using fireworks at home whenever possible.
• Keep a safe distance from fireworks and always follow local safety guidelines.
• Have a bucket of water or a garden hose nearby if fireworks are being used.
• Teach children to never pick up fireworks that didn’t go off.
• Keep infants and young children away from loud fireworks to help protect their hearing. Consider using infant-sized hearing protection if attending a fireworks show.
