🎉 Congratulations to Dr. Jenee Johnson, Dr. Jason Travers, Dr. Kathleen Tuck, Dr. Pamela Neidert, and Dr. Heather Forbes on their recent publication:

“An Evaluation of Urine Alarms in Intensive Toilet Training Programs” 👏👏👏

This important study contributes to our understanding of how urine-detecting alarms impact toileting success in young children with autism. Using an alternating treatments design, the authors explored the effects of audible and inaudible alarms during intensive toilet training. While results were undifferentiated across conditions, the study raises critical questions about behavior irreversibility, the necessity of restrictive procedures, and real-world applications in settings with lower adult support.
