Will County is transitioning from the Everbridge notification system to Smart911 for emergency alerts and community communications.

If you currently receive Village alerts through Everbridge, including emergency notifications and community updates, you must register with Smart911 to continue receiving these important messages. Existing Everbridge registrations will not automatically transfer to the new system.

By registering with Smart911, residents can continue to receive:
• Emergency and severe weather alerts
• Road closure and traffic updates
• Public safety information
• Community event notifications
• Service disruption notices and other important Village news

In addition to receiving alerts, residents are encouraged to create a Smart911 Safety Profile. This secure profile can provide critical information to 911 dispatchers and first responders during an emergency, helping them respond more effectively when every second counts.

The transition to Smart911 is expected to be completed by tomorrow,July 1, 2026. Residents are encouraged to register as soon as possible to ensure they continue receiving important notifications from the Village of Mokena and Will County.
