GOD is good all the time, even during a pandemic! I, on behalf of Advocates For Justice, thank Ms. Garcia of Modesto Cannabis Collective, for being a rainbow during these challenging times and for donating this wonderful blessing to AFJ. After the COVID-19 experience, we will put this amazing gift to use!!!

Dear family, friends, and team:

Jacque was on UpFront on KPFA.org / 91.7FM this morning talking about his two brothers, Neko & Lance, who are currently incarcerated on non-violent drug charges in AZ & CA respectively; the horrendous conditions of prisons during this pandemic, including the lack of communication from prison authorities with families of incarcerated loved ones; how his brother Lance - who tested COVID positive with symptoms 3 wks ago has not yet seen a doctor, and whose phone usage was cut off for 3 wks - has been named a lead plaintiff in an ACLU class action suit against Terminal Island Federal Prison.
Definitely listen to the podcast here (time 1:08-1:27)https://archives.kpfa.org/data/20200521-Thu0700.mp3; You can also find it by going to KPFA.org and it is in the archive for "UpFront" on 5/21/2020.

Also read about the ACLU lawsuit here:

If you're on twitter you can read more about the situation as gather other ways to take action - https://twitter.com/jacquewilson1/status/1262207718762311680

Here are some ways to help so they can hopefully be released into the care of their loving family:

To get Neko out in Arizona - who was picked up on a 17yo ma*****na warrant and is fighting it in the AZ Supreme Court for violating his due process rights - people can email the DA’s office & ask them to set bail. They’re at [email protected] or call (928) 524-4026. You can also email Judge Robert Higgins at [email protected]

To get Lance out of Terminal Island, people can email the Warden (Felicia Ponce) at "TRM/[email protected] and Michael Carvajal, Director of the Federal Bureau of Prisons, at BOP-IPP/[email protected]

Sincerely,

Jacq M. Wilson, Injury/Victim Attorney
