Today, May 22nd, is Harvey Milk's birthday and a celebration of his life as the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in California. Harvey Milk's voice and legacy empowers us to continue our fight forward, towards equity, inclusivity, and hope.

The Primary Election is just around the corner- on June 2nd, many Californians will be voting for new officials. This is a reminder to know our history and vote for our future!!

Still need to register to vote? It's not too late! Same Day Voter Registration is available for Californians who missed the May 18th deadline to register to vote or update their voter registration information. Learn about where you can register to vote before June 2nd at caearlyvoting.sos.ca.gov 🏳️‍🌈

Voting by mail? Make sure you send it in on or before June 2nd! ✉️

Lost, destroyed, or didn't receive your ballot? Apply for a replacement by May 26th (that's Tuesday!) to receive a new ballot. 🗳️

Voting in person? Drop off your ballot at your nearest polling location on June 2nd before 8PM! 🩷

Working on June 2nd? In California, the law requires that employers give employees time off to vote in statewide elections, if employees don't have time to vote outside of their normal work schedule. BUT voters must ask for it at least two working days in advance. The law provides for a maximum of two hours of paid leave for the purposes of voting. Tell your employers by June 1st that it's your right to vote!
