Majestic silence in motion.”

At the end of 2022, we went on our first safari in South Africa—an unforgettable adventure in Sabi Sands, where we stayed at the beautiful Nkorho Bush Lodge. Within the first couple of days, we saw the Big Five, but it was the quiet encounters—like this giraffe moving ever so gently through the bush—that stayed with me.

There’s something deeply humbling about watching wildlife in its natural environment . No barriers. No noise. Just the weight of the moment, I even used my camera some.

Mobile Firefall
Mobile Bay, 2022

We had just returned from Okinawa at the end of 2021. One evening, we crossed the bay to catch the sunset. The sky lit up like it was on fire, spilling molten gold across the water.

This was one of the last frames I took that night—
a reminder that sometimes beauty shows up when you’re still, watching, and open.

I didn’t expect the driest place on Earth San Pedro de Atacama to feel so alive.

Atacama was more than a destination—it was a surreal canvas. Think Dalí but with a camera. The desert stretched on forever, painted in rich earth tones, with the bold blue of the sky and the stark whites of distant salt and snow capped mountains.

Every texture, every shadow, every burst with bright light and subtle shadows whispered poetry. There was silence here that made you feel small—beautifully, humbly small. And the colors? They didn’t just exist. They spoke

I came for the landscapes. I left inspired.

On one of our longest trips ever, we spent almost 30 days traveling. When we lived in Okinawa we traveled to Nepal, Tibet and then because we were passing through India on the way back to Okinawa, we decided to spend 8 days and take a tour with G Adventures. We explored the Golden Triangle in the North West past of the country.

Built in 1592, the Amber Fort in Rajasthan, India, stands as a remarkable testament to architectural splendor and historical significance. Perched majestically on the rugged hills, its imposing walls and towers have witnessed centuries of history.

Constructed by Raja Man Singh I, a trusted general of Emperor Akbar, the fort's sturdy sandstone walls conceal a world of opulence and grandeur within. The fort's distinctive blend of Rajput and Mughal architectural styles showcases the cultural fusion of the era, with intricate frescoes, ornate domes, and meticulously designed courtyards.

The fort's strategic location offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape, including the picturesque Maota Lake, creating a breathtaking backdrop for its beauty. The Sheesh Mahal, or "Palace of Mirrors," within the fort is a dazzling masterpiece, adorned with countless reflective glass pieces that illuminate the romantic history of the royal courts.

As you wander through the fort's labyrinthine passages, you can't help but feel transported to an era of kings and queens, their grand celebrations, and their profound legacy. The Amber Fort, born in 1592, continues to enchant visitors with its historical significance and architectural elegance, serving as a timeless window to the past.

On one trip to Kuala Lumpur, I visited the Petronas Twin Towers. This incredible piece of architecture is a work of art. It’s downtown KL and tied to a massive mall. KL is an extremely welcoming city and Malaysia as a whole. The people are friendly and the food has so much flavor. This is a must visit city!
