My client originally brought in the same bridesmaid dress style in a size that was at least two sizes too large. After evaluating the fit, I advised her to return the dress to the manufacturer and reorder it using the correct measurements I took for her.
These are the final results after ordering the proper size. The only adjustment needed was a small amount of taking in at the bust area to prevent slight gapping.
Tip: If you have the opportunity to order a made-to-measure dress, getting accurate measurements before ordering can save you hundreds in alteration costs later.
