At 15, the ambitious MC bought a dollar store mic and began writing with friends, freestyling at ciphers, and recording rhymes at a local neighborhood creating a buzz around Africatown for himself. Influenced by southern lyricists like Lil Boosie, Lil Phat, and Webbie, Dosha styled his rhyme structure to be like theirs, relatable and a reflection of his everyday life. Taking from his mentors while staying true to himself, Dosha let the game know who he was from the jump. The first song he released was a diss track, holding no punches and taking headshots at his opponent. Defining who he was and soon to become—a force to be feared. Honing his craft, forging connections, and building on words of encouragement from friends telling him not to refute his undeniable talent came in 2019 when he dropped his rendition of a classic "First Day Out." Reminding Plateau that the real had returned. He expanded on a sound cultivated by artists like Zero from Texas, Big MO, and Pimp C and made it his own. Giving listeners a dirty south serenade that's both energetic and ambitious, showing his transition into a man with a message.
