Baker High School wrestling will hold an interest/parent meeting Wednesday, June 24th at 6PM in the gym. This meeting is for students in the Baker High School attendance zone and feeder pattern only. Contact Coach Lambert with any questions at [email protected].

📢 Updated Cell Phone Policy for 2026–2027 School Year📱
As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to share important district updates regarding student cell phone use and campus safety expectations.
In May 2025, Alabama passed the FOCUS Act, which prohibits the use of smartphones and other wireless devices in public schools. This includes smartwatches, personal laptops/iPads, and similar devices.
📱What this means for students:
All personal devices must be turned off and stored away during the school day.
MCPSS requires the use of a Yondr pouch for any device brought onto campus.

🔒 Yondr Pouch Requirement:
Beginning in 2026–2027, families who want their child to keep their device with them during the day must purchase a Yondr pouch ($25).
Devices will remain locked in the pouch throughout the school day.
Students who do not have a pouch must leave devices at home or off campus.
Lost or damaged pouches must be replaced by the student/family.
👉 Keeping a phone in a Yondr pouch is considered a privilege, not a requirement.

🎒 Additional Safety Update:
Students must use clear, transparent bookbags (no mesh, color-tinted, solid-backed, or opaque bags).

We appreciate your support as we implement these procedures to create a safe, focused learning environment for every student. Please note that this policy is mandated at the state and district level and will be consistently enforced across all campuses.
