A few weeks ago I shipped an order to Wellington, New Zealand. In his letter I said "Thank you for being my first order to ship to The Shire (AKA New Zealand). I know that was a bad joke but I just couldn't resist". I woke up to find this in my inbox.

This is why I love selling so much.

I'm proud of myself. I just sold something for a higher price than full retail.

I started out with eight LEGO Super Mario sets on Friday and I'm already down to two.

This is one of the responses that I got to one of the thank you letters that I include with every order that I send out. The thing I like most about doing this is that people are spending their hard earned money to buy something that I fixed. Something that would usually be thrown away. That makes me feel damn good.

I know it's kind of corny but I put a handwritten thank you note in the box of everything that I sell along with any accessories that I have that go with the product that they bought. For example I put SATA cables in with every hard drive and optical drive that I sell.

That's called great customer service.
