🧨 Fireworks Regulations – Know Before You Light! 🇺🇸

The Mitchell Police Department wishes everyone a safe and happy Independence Day! Before celebrating, please take a moment to review the City’s fireworks ordinance.

🎆 Lake Area Fireworks

General fireworks may be used July 3 and July 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on property located between the shoreline of Lake Mitchell and the nearest public right-of-way. Users must follow all manufacturer instructions and properly extinguish and dispose of all fireworks debris.

Please note: Fireworks may be prohibited at the Lake Mitchell Campground by the Park and Recreation Board.

🎇 Fireworks Within City Limits

Ground and handheld fireworks may also be used July 3 and July 4 from 12:00 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. throughout the City of Mitchell, only on private property and with the property owner’s permission. As always, follow all manufacturer instructions and clean up all debris when you’re finished.
