In the early 1970s, after getting out of the Navy and working for Seattle-based Grinnell-ADT, Butte-born “Spike” McQuiston wanted to get back to his roots. So he returned to Montana, settled in Missoula and joined together partners to start an alarm company/answering service/locksmith shop. When Spike passed away suddenly in 1993, his widow, Lynn, stepped in as the

When thunder roars, head indoors ⛈️🌬️⛈️
Heads up, western Montana and north central Idaho! ⚡ Strong thunderstorms are expected to develop Thursday afternoon and evening (July 16).
While most of the region will see more typical thunderstorm threats (gusty winds to 50 mph and small hail), folks in west-central Montana should be on alert for isolated severe storms capable of producing 58+ mph winds and hail over an inch in diameter. Storms will generally move from southwest to northeast between 2 PM and 10 PM.
