Early years isn’t “just childcare”.
It’s relationships.
It’s development.
It’s heart work and brain work intertwined.
Because what we give in the early years doesn’t end when childhood does — it becomes part of who they are 😍.

The first day back after Christmas break is rude.

There is no gentle transition.
No easing in.
Just alarms, dark mornings, and the realization that we lived an entirely different life two weeks ago.

The house is quieter, but heavier.
Kids are tired in a way sleep doesn’t fix.
Parents are running on caffeine and memory alone.

Backpacks feel heavier than they should.
Goodbyes last a second longer.
Everyone’s adjusting, even if no one says it out loud.

You miss the slow mornings.
You miss the noise.
You miss not watching the clock.

And at the same time… you’re ready for structure.
And that mix of emotions is confusing and exhausting.

The first day back isn’t about productivity or getting it right.
It’s about survival.

So if today felt messy, rushed, or emotional, you’re not behind.
You’re just coming down from Christmas.

Tomorrow will be easier.
Routine will come back.
This fog will lift.

But today?
Today just gets grace.
