Under capitalism, our inherent drive to create and shape the world around us is reduced to laboring for the enrichment of a decision-making class of owners and career politicians. In the little time we have for ourselves, we put our hopes and dreams on the back burner while we struggle to find ways to give our families a good life. And when we ask why life can't be easier, some owners and politicians try to get us blaming each other for our hardships while we keep struggling and they keep thriving. We need another way of relating to wealth and labor that gives us determination over our lives and creative drives. That's where Freedom & Means comes in. F&M is a sandbox and workshop that aims to help individuals, organizations, and communities develop tools to wrest power over our lives from the decision-making class and put it in the hands of the people. Through games, popular education, power analysis, and more, we help people envision new ways to build collective determination over the means to thrive.
