In case you didnt know, The Miami-Dade County Board of County Commissioners passed a new ordinance that requires landlords to give residential tenants at least 60 days’ written notice when:
- Increasing rent by more than 5%
- Terminating a month-to-month residential rental agreement (tenants also have to give 60 days’ notice)

HOMESTEAD EXEMPTION

The deadline for filing exemptions is March 1st.
All legal Florida residents are eligible for a Florida Homestead Exemption on their primary homes, condominiums, co-op apartments, and certain mobile home lots if they qualify.

What You Need When Filing For Homestead >

Property Folio Number.
Social Security Number.
Date of Birth.
Marital Status.
Florida Driver's license Number which reflects the property address.
Florida Automobile Registration which reflects the property address.
Florida Voter Registration Information (U.S. citizen) which reflects the property address.
U.S. Permanent Resident Immigration number (Non U. S. citizen)
Visit your local county tax appraiser’s office to file.
