Sunrise Center North Therapeutic Riding

Sunrise Center North started with two borrowed horses and operated its program by boarding these horses at a local stable. Since then, through purchases and donations, we have come to own three horses. Our instructors are certified and operate under the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), formerly the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA). Sunrise Center North provides services to 20 to 40 different special needs riders each year, totaling 325 to 475 lesson-hours each year. The special needs population has very limited activities that they can participate in and we are very happy to offer our services to any individual or organization that will benefit from therapeutic riding.
