Balance your not just by the temperature but also in terms of saturation (how vibrant a color is) so that you have a well-rounded .
This makes it so that you have colors that are able to be used over one another with good contrast and no friction which is very important because it helps with legibility.

My design philosophy is simple. I believe EVERYONE deserves to have a ✨ beautiful brand. ✨
There are two ways to achieve this.
💵 You can pay someone to create it for you.
🖌️ You can create it yourself.
Both of these options have pros and cons. Let's examine a few.
✅ The biggest pro of working with a designer is obviously, having a professional who has dedicated their time to honing the skills necessary for this task. You have the 👁️ eye of someone who does this daily and has possibly years of insight and can get to where you want to be much quicker. 🏃♀️
⚠️ The con is, working with a designer can be expensive. All that expertise and the ease of just handing something off to someone and getting a finished product without lifting a finger has a price.
So what about creating it yourself?
✅ The biggest pro there is that the cost is much less. You can invest in software like and invest in templates like Brand Kits and use your own time to save yourself the big bucks.
⚠️ The con is, you might not necessarily have the time to spend learning new software or learning design principles and best practices. Learning design might also not be something you want to do. After all, you went into business to do what YOU ❤️ love to do, not design (that's what I love to do!).
In the end, I believe you should have a beautiful brand no matter which option works best for you. I believe you CAN have a beautiful brand with either option. What you have to decide is what YOU want to save, TIME or MONEY.
That's why I offer 1:1 services AND also turned my process into templates you can use. If you want to learn more about my head to delightfullydesigning.com.

Abstract illustrations are a fantastic way to create icons or small embellishments to illustrate your points. Swipe for a few quick examples...
So how can you do this?
First, grab yourself a Brand Kit, the ones used here are Nova and Minima. They pair well together and have lots of little abstract illustrations like these.
Then, map out the ideas you want to convey. With abstract illustrations, you don't really have to get too representative. Just play with the shapes and make something pretty. If you're using the same 1 or 2 kits, your icons/illustrations will pair nicely.
Start switching out colors and experimenting. Have fun with them!
Finally, add the text that will tell your audience what these stand for. This is the representational part, so your icons/illustrations don't have to be.
The fun part about this is, there's loads of combinations, size relationships, and colors to play with. The possibilities are endless. Don't you just love resources you can reuse again again... easily?
In the comments, tell me which one of these is your favorite and why? Then, grab yourself a kit through the link in bio or at https://bit.ly/3rUaXGD and make your own!

Your logo is the first impression anyone gets of your business, so it makes sense that you want to get it just right.
But when you can't afford to work with a designer, you might consider turning to questionable places offering $5 designs.
🛑 Stop right there!
A $5 logo is problematic for many reasons, but just stop and consider what meaningful thing you've been able to make, write, create, or design for $5... I'll wait.
Couldn't think of anything?
Logo design takes a good amount of research and a lot of problem solving skills. The thing is... because we all need a logo as soon as we start a business, we think any logo will do.
You don't want just any $5 to be the face of your brand do you?
I didn't think so.
Instead of wasting even $5 on a logo that won't represent your brand well, spend some time learning about the things that make up a good logo. That way, you can spot if what you've received fits the bill or even try it yourself instead of throwing that money away.
