It was a great pleasure to welcome Dr. Christine Beyzaei, Exponent Inc., Oakland, CA, to visit our student chapter in the Friedman Family Visiting program 2019. She presented an excellent seminar on Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering and Post-Earthquake Reconnaissance. We had a chance to listen to her career story and learned about the benefit of obtaining advanced knowledge in earthquake engineering.

Dr. Nathan Gould, Chief of Technology and General Manager, ABS Consulting, has visited us in the Friedman Family Visiting program. The annual event is what the EERI chapter at UMN always looks for in an academic year. His lecture was going smooth and excellent, and the conversation hour after the lecture was a meaningful experience for the attenders. Our true gratitude to the Friedman Family for their sponsorship. It was a great experience to have Dr. Gould with us this year.
