Looking for a great way to spend Election Day 2025 on Tuesday, November 4th? Come be part of our Community Service, Art & Bike Day. You can come for one activity or all of them. 10 am we are installing pathways at Edna’s Park with Ground WORK, 11 am there will be a group out cleaning up the neighborhood, 1 pm is the Grand Opening of West Bank Cultural Tapestry Mural and then it’s off for a bike ride to Nicollet Island with our Cedar Riverside Bike Club & Free Wheel Bike. Thank you to everyone who showed up for our first Fall Community Work Day. We made a big dent in getting the 400 Block Garden timbers removed and the excess dirt moved to Edna’s Park to fill low spots and improve the paths through the park. Couldn’t make it today? Our children have spoken and these are areas of the neighborhood where they don’t feel safe. We can all help change that feeling by showing up and making these areas clean, accessible and cared for. We are back at the this Thursday, July 17th 9:30-11:30 am to finish up year one of installation (2 more years to go until the Meadow is completely installed). We don’t work if it is raining or the tempurature is over 90 degrees.

The West Bank Meadow is taking shape but we need some helping hands Thursday from 9:30-11:30 am to get the perennials in the ground and watered. Nearly 250 plants going in the ground in one morning.

Help plant the new children's garden at the former site of the House of Balls encampment! After 2 years of advocacy we finally have access through MnDOT & the City of Minneapolis

Today was our first day with all our Ground WORK summer youth interns. We completed orientation and then off to buy new annuals for The Cedar Cultural Center plaza.
