“What the ICE left behind”
watercolor and gouache on paper
9”x12”
One of the most gut-wrenching images to come out of Not-see Germany was the mountains of personal belongings taken from the victims of the d3@th camps.
This piece is a reflection on the stories coming out of the ICE occupation of Minneapolis. People who have been abducted by these squads of thugs (and then lucky enough to be let go instead of being flown to our homegrown version of concentration camps in Texas) are being forced out of the detention center (down by Ft. Snelling in Bloomington, home of the Mall of America) without their winter gear in record-cold temperatures and deadly windchills.
Is there a mountain forming of their shoes?
They’ve left nothing but ruin in their wake. The cruelty of this administration knows no bounds.
