When this crisis began, we were grateful to just connect with our colleagues using platforms like Zoom, Skype, Webex, and Teams. We didn't give much thought to how we appeared.
Now working from home has been transformed. Not only are people within companies meeting this way but we are now seeing sales presentations, committee meetings, project interviews, board meetings, and job interviews taking place this way. Meetings between lawyers, accountants, bankers, engineers, and their clients are now live streamed.
It's time to look more professional when you live stream.

The LinkedIn crop. When I take , I usually provide my clients with 2 crops: 8x10 and square. The square crop is optimized to fit in the little round window LI provides for your profile photo. Your face is more prominent. It makes it much easier to see who you really are. The 8x10 crop is the classic portrait crop which is also different from the 4x6 image produced by most cameras. the 8x10 crop also places more emphasis on your head and shoulders by cropping out the mid-section. Making photos vs taking photos: A challenging project to create an image for a group of financial advisors. The goal was to make a photo of them laying in the snow. We set up the camera on my mast using the Tethertools cross bar to extend the camera from the mast. In post production, we extracted everyone from the carpet (no small task) and laid them on several Adobe Stock snow images. Visual Narratives: People, Places, and Spaces.
