To Succeed You Must Read

Today, many of us will gather with family to celebrate the holidays and exchange gifts. However, the most important gift you can give your child is your time.

Part of the Read Aloud 15 MINUTES mission is making the time you spend with your child truly meaningful. Reading is not a skill that develops on its own; it’s one that must be taught and, as parents, you are your child’s first and most important teacher.

Take 15 minutes today, between the festivities, to read together. Have a grandparent read to their grandchild, or even better, let a grandchild read to their grandparents. Those 15 minutes of reading will help your child’s brain grow and prepare them for life.
