Hi! I’m Margie Aguilar, and here’s a bit about me:
I started my career in hair over 35 years ago by attending Horst Education Center For Hair, currently known as The Aveda Institute. Prior to cosmetology school, I attended The Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
After finishing cosmetology school at Horst I worked for the affiliated salons, Horst And Friends International, for the next two years before moving to Take Five on First salon where I worked for 20 years with a group of people I loved. After leaving Take Five, I moved to Level Salon, where I’ve been for the past 13 years.
While cutting and styling is very fun, I feel most passionately about corrective coloring services, including bleach and tone. I love the challenge of making a clients vision a reality, and the dramatic changes that are possible. I feel it makes my clients happy to be working with a stylist who is knowledgeable, confident, and fearless, and who is willing to go the distance and take a chance on something that may be daunting to a less experienced stylist.
I enjoy making people smile and a great cut, color, and style is a good way to accomplish that. I love what I do and find it very gratifying!

Being an artist, as well, I’ve recently started actively painting and drawing again and will be showing my work at Level Salon nearing the end of April. I invite you all to come and visit!
I feel so fortunate to be able to share both of my passions with my clients.

A tip to share: Never regularly sleep wearing a ponytail - that’s where breakage comes from.
