Andrew Dipper’s latest Baroque bows in progress – what models will these be? Can anyone guess from their lengths or shape of the tips?

Great to see our old friend and colleague, Carlo Chiesa, at the AFVBM meeting in Boston. He and his son Tommaso presented their research on the early Milanese makers in preparation for their book on this subject.

Andrew’s first guest at his AFVBM exhibit March 21 in Boston was Nate Kim who owns a Klingenthal violin restored by Andrew and his Roda model bow. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing him play and test a few bows. If you have a chance to hear Nate perform, don’t hesitate. He is amazing.
