What a gift it is to craft, make, and remember the wisdom in our hands. What a pleasure to do it together! Thank you and for inviting me to share my craft during this May’s craft along!

🌑 For this new moon creative ritual, all you need is a sheet of paper, your sketchbook or journal, a drawing or writing tool, and some colors to embellish if you wish.⁣
⁣
☀️ Go outside and observe something that has changed near the ground—low toward the soil. It could be a freshly weeded patch, a new plant you brought home, or a greenish sprout breaking through the soil. ⁣
⁣
🫁 Take a few moments to sit with what you are observing. Breathe with this place. ⁣
⁣
✍🏽 Without looking at your paper, draw what you see, feel, and experience. Try not to lift your pen or pencil from the page until you feel you’ve fully noticed your subject of observation. ⁣
⁣
🎨 If you wish, you can add color or details that enhance your connection with what you are observing. ⁣
⁣
🌳 If you want to continue, imagine what this plant, patch, or seedling might become in one week or one month—create a future drawing using your imagination and your relationship with the earth.⁣
⁣
This exploration is not about the result, but rather about getting close to the earth and being with it. ⁣
