We’ve loved creating and collaborating with Mechelle and her amazing organization most recently on these running shorts!

Did you know that Mechelle is a track Olympian?? We’ve been in awe of her drive, passion and determination since we met her 🤩🤩

Story behind the shorts- I developed these based on a request from a local MN high school track team and spent months doing market research to learn what runners needed from their performance shorts.

Fast forward to a tv segment on Kare11 that we were featured in, along side Mechelle and Trackgirlz! We talked for a long time while we were waiting to go live and realized we could collaborate in some exciting ways!

We had a brief foray into making track uniforms for schools, almost taking the business in a completely different direction.... We did an amazing photoshoot with Mechelle and her track girlz, sourced new fabrics and edited designs to be great for the high school age group, spent hours on a catalog and connected with a lot of great high schools! It wasn’t until really sitting down with an athletic director at a hs that we learned the essentials and asked the questions we should have asked from the start (big learning moment for us!) - high schools have a small budget for uniforms, and they need them to last for years (and years and years in some cases) we weren’t cut out to compete with the Jostens in the world. We still believe uniforms need a makeover, especially women’s uniforms that seem to be men’s uniforms slightly altered without an actual woman’s body in mind... but we’ll stay off that soapbox for now ❤️
