Old Town Minneapolis recently hosted a tour at the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institutes, the largest beauty school in the world.

The building has housed quite the history - once it was a Masonic Temple, the S&L Department Store and a concert hall (where Janice Joplin, Bob Dylan and Prince played).

The school enrolls between 400-500 students at any time and welcomes over 1000 guests a week for hair, massage and cosmetic appointments. The building designed by William K. Macomber for the Freemason family and now owned by the Rechelbacher family will soon be undergoing renovations.
