Why Do So Many Pastors Leave the Ministry? The Facts Will Shock You 06/02/2015

Pray for your pastors, their spouses and families.

It's a hard family position where your job, support group, friends, and place of worship are woven together. It's a glass house that leaves many spouses alone and families vulnerable. Where does the shepherd go to find comfort or grace? The friends say be real and one with us, yet the reality is they are just as messed up as you. Because they are not super human or supernatural but just frail humans they need permission and covenant relationships that promise they can be real and share their heart in a way that is pure, raw and healing.

Pray for their ability to live life full and express the passion that drew them to ministry in the first place. Pray they can experience the grace of God through you and the Almighty, especially in you.
Because you are forgiven and loved even when in the midst of darkness. Share this grace with your Pastor in their time of Joy, victory and in times of pain and loneliness.

God has blessed many of us with great pastors. So I guess my request is to just pray with love over their family. Because many of you are their friends, support group, co-workers, brothers and sisters.

Thanks Church!
