Thank you Safe & Sound, Inc. for having Achieve MKE at the Elm Court block party. It was an amazing opportunity to meet so many new people and be able to talk to them about our program. So many goals were brought up with so many pathways to achieve them!

If you're interested in talking to us, keep an eye out on our socials for events and opportunities. If you know anyone 15-25 with a goal they wanna work on, send us an email at [email protected]

Last Thursday Achieve MKE & Norris staff gathered to thank and congratulate a rising star, TJ. TJ was a Learn MKE student who broke though barriers and challenges to finally walk the stage and get his High School Diploma.

When we first met TJ he was very quiet. But with every resource we sent him his accomplishments were very loud. TJ soon become one of the most active participants in our Tuesday learning session.

The story of TJ is not an outlier it is becoming the norm. With the support of Learn MKE & Achieve MKE students will continue to be provided with the knowledge and resources to succeed. Not just in getting a diploma but in developing positive lifelong skills. If you know anyone ages 14-25 who would be interested in our program to achieve goals please contact us at [email protected].

Respectful communication about mental health is especially important during times of transition, including housing instability or reentry into the community. Compassionate words signal safety when people need it most.

When we focus on the person and not the diagnosis, we create more supportive conversations about mental health.

Sometimes the most important step is listening. Taking time to listen to the concerns of a young person in your life can help them feel safe sharing what they’re experiencing.
