The Community Warehouse - Partners in Hope Program
Share
Partners in Hope is a robust initiative focused on prisoner reintegration, committed to assisting individuals in their successful transition back into society. Initiated in 2018, our model borrows from the success of the Las Vegas initiative, Hope for Prisoners. We are a proud division of The Community Warehouse (CW), a non-profit organization based in Milwaukee that believes in creating opportuni
ties for individuals with challenging backgrounds. Grounded in Biblical principles, our mission is to effectuate life transformation through the dignity of work while instilling faith, nurturing hope, and modeling love in life and work. We at Partners in Hope understand that the reintegration process does not have a fixed end date, and we are prepared to walk alongside our participants for as long as they need us. Our journey together commences with a one-week soft skills workshop, equipping them for the transition ahead. Following this, participants are given the opportunity to work in transitional jobs at CW's stores or with our partner companies. Integral to our initiative is the establishment of a strong support network for each participant. This network is comprised of mentors from diverse fields, such as law enforcement, faith, and business communities, in addition to peer-to-peer mentorship from carefully selected formerly incarcerated individuals. Daily training is provided on essential skills such as goal-setting, time management, financial management, fatherhood, and effective communication. As a voluntary, faith-based initiative, Partners in Hope places emphasis on core spiritual principles such as grace, hope, honesty, integrity, respect, and the dignity of work. Our ultimate goal is to assist our participants in achieving maturity in their faith and interpersonal skills, contributing positively to their community, attaining sustainable employment, securing stable housing, breaking free from addictions, and establishing positive family relationships. We welcome you to join Partners in Hope and be a part of our thriving community, which is dedicated to empowering individuals for a brighter, more stable future.
