The center is located at 2240 N 17th Street in a carefully renovated, formally infamous drug house. Understanding the importance of valuing place, residents restored this 1910 house, slated for demolition into an active Center where youth, families, elders, homeowners and renters participate in community development.

They help to establish authentic bonds with the community and to heal it from within.

Community based discussions that spark revolutions.- Walnut Way helped facilitate a conversation about Imagining Future Food systems with Milwaukee Food Council.
They raised awareness on food deserts/food apartheids and the overall knowledge the community has on the health and the integrity of food they consume.
Residents came out to give their perspective on grocery stores, and the quality of the food that is offered in lower income areas.
These conversations improve the miscommunication between the public and the advocates who can help

Justice work doesnt stop for us – it challenges us to continue our journey for the people.
We channel and execute it through food justice, housing justice, environmental sustainability through utilizing clean energy methods and more.
We want to be there and establish a beautiful and just world to live in, and we want it do with the people by the people.
